Waterbeach
Community Players, as the name suggests, are an amateur theatre
group situated in the delightful village of Waterbeach, six miles
north of the university city of Cambridge, UK.
The
group was formed in 1978 and present two main productions and
a Pantomime every year. In addition to these we also regularly
enter local drama festivals and a list of our achievements are
shown below. Although drama is the main objective of the group,
we also engage in a wide variety of Social activities throughout
the year. These can range from ten-pin bowling to quiz nights,
car rallys to anniversary dinners and are enjoyed by all who attend
them.

As
with most theatre groups we can never have too many members. As
well as actors and directors we are always in need of willing volunteers
to help build our sets and work backstage, so if you are looking
for a new hobby and live not too far from Waterbeach, why not give
us a try. We are a friendly bunch (honest) and any newcomers are
made to feel welcome immediately. If you are interested, you can
contact us, or come along to one of our shows or social events and
introduce yourself. We look forward to seeing you. In the meantime
we hope you find our website interesting and informative. Please
enjoy your visit. |
